If you’re looking for new spooky experiences for your Sims, then EA has you covered as the latest expansion pack forThe Sims 4has been announced on their officialnews blog. On October 31,Life and Deathwill arrive so that your Sims can get acquainted with the end of life. It’s still vague on what the expansion will be about, although we can assume it will be Halloween-themed due to its release date. Players can tune in on October 3 for a first look at the new pack, which should reveal many of the new gameplay features, new items, and more....

It also lights-up! Pop Culture Shock has been on a roll lately, and they’re continuing their trend of amazing toys with their newStreet Fighter IVstatue based on Akuma and Gouken locked in battle. It comes in at 16.5 inches tall, and there’s a variant which lights-up! Only 500 of these have been made (300 regular, 200 light-up variant), and will be out around this August. Something this high quality isn’t cheap though, with the regular going for $330 and the variant for $350....

A survival/escape style game for iPhone and iPad Hellraidis an upcoming first-person co-op slasher in development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.Hellraid: The Escape, on the other hand, is a mobile survival title along the same lines asThe Room. This one is being developed by Shortbreak Studios in close cooperation with Techland, and sees players needing to escape from a demonic dimension. It’s mostly a puzzle game, and while there are enemies you have to fight, you’ll be taking them on with your “not weapons....

During the past week or so, Electronic Arts has been slowly unveiling the first major downloadable content forSSX, piece by piece (literally). Thankfully, most of us missed out on the pre-announcement shenanigans and still get the news anyway: the “Mt. Eddie & Classic Characters Bundle Pack”is coming May 1for $7.99. Mt. Eddie promises to deliver the “classicSSXexperience” and is inspired bySSX Tricky. It’s got nine drops and includes three unnamed “retro” songs, so this should be pretty darn good....

‘Creatively independent’ Tencent, a stupidly massive Chinese conglomerate, got a little bigger recently. It added Leyou’s assets to its portfolio thanks to a new acquisition. Leyou likely isn’t a name you recognize, but some of its studios will ring a bell. Most notable, Leyou is the parent company of Digital Extremes, which is the developer ofWarframe. That’s right — the free-to-play darlingWarframeis now a Tencent property. Following the acquisition, Digital Extremes has been quick to insist that this will affect nothing as far asWarframe‘s direction is concerned....

PVP and PVE are good to go In the first entry of myongoingWildStarReview in Progress, I noted that there were some issues with various PVE and PVP servers over the early access weekend, most notably long queue times that could stretch on for hours. After checking everything out for myself this morning however, it all seems in order. Both of the high population server types are running smoothly, and the overflow servers are all at “low” population marks still, ensuring instant access as a backup, so long as you don’t have friends on a particular shard....

Markdown coming in Japan this October Speaking withIGN, Xbox kingpin Phil Spencer asserted his belief that a PlayStation 4 price drop in western markets is around the corner following Sony Japan’s recent markdown announcement. “I fully expect they [PlayStation] will drop price,” said Spencer. “When I think about the playbook they’ve used in the past, we feel good about the plans we have in place going forward in the holiday. If history tells, then we’ll see a price drop from them coming....

You might remember this one for its animated cutscenes or publisher Devolver Digital’s involvement.
