As I’m sure you’re all very well aware, Nintendo’s E3 press conference was this morning, and whileBatman:Arkham Citywas one of the very first games announced for the Wii U, today we got a peek at some of the added features for the so-called “Armored Edition.“ Almost all of these features include the Wii U tablet controller. Detective vision will now be displayed through the pad, the remote-controlled Bat-a-rang can be guided precisely, and weapons and gadgets will all be accessible through the secondary display....

Dead Spaceis a big deal for Electronic Arts — as if you couldn’t tell by theDLC,comics,novels,moviesandtoysthat have accompanied the series. The franchise’s medium-spanning coverage isn’t enough for the publisher, however, as EA has plans to see it become as prevalent in our minds asResident Evil. “TheResident Evilseries was awesome, the early versions were phenomenal,” said EA’s Frank Gibeau. “[Capcom] did a good job of growing the franchise to a very large market....

Offline players beware Always online DRM has been a hot topic for years now. While I can understand wanting to combat piracy, putting such a stipulation mostly hurts legitimate buyers when server issues crop up.Gran Turismo Sportlooks to be the next game that suffers when offline, since playing without internet limits you to only arcade mode with no ability to save. Just let that last bit sink in. So say you run out and grab your copy today (something I will be doing soon), but there is some issue with your ISP that prevents you from connecting to the internet....

Here we go again (in VR) The world of San Andreas is going to go virtual. Today, Oculus announced that a VR version of Rockstar Games’Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasis in development for the Oculus Quest 2. We don’t have much more info on what this will look like at the moment, other than that it’s a project that’s been “many years in the making.” No date has been set yet, either....

Depression Quest and Tangiers make the cut Now that we’re fully into 2014, it’s time for Valve to announceanother batch of games and software packagesthat have been approved from Greenlight. Another 50 titles have been announced for release, taking the total number of Greenlit items up to 387.
